SAFE PLACE PROGRAM

As the Midlands' only Safe Place Program Provider, Palmetto Place provides access to immediate help and supportive resources for all youth in Richland, Lexington, and surrounding counties. As a Midlands community initiative, our Palmetto Place Safe Place Program partners with 11 QuikTrip gas stations around the Midlands as Safe Place locations. Designated Safe Place locations in display the yellow and black Safe Place sign, as the universal symbol of youth safety.

When teens find themselves in crisis or needing a safe place to stay, knowing how and where to get help is critical. Through Safe Place, immediate help is never too far away, thanks to our 11 Midlands Safe Place Site partners who step into this role to act as a safety net and serve as a gateway to Palmetto Place support for at risk youth.

About Safe Place

National Safe Place Network (NSPN) is a for-purpose national organization dedicated to strengthening the response to youth in crisis. We serve as a convener, trainer, capacity builder, and program operator for communities committed to youth safety and well-being. NSPN unites agencies, national partners, and community members to improve outcomes for youth through prevention, early intervention, coordinated response, and long-term support.
